    Denise Carey is the firm’s paralegal who works on the administration of decedent’s estates and trusts. She also manages the administration of the many Irrevocable Trusts in which Dennis acts as Trustee. Denise also handles office management, while working closely with Dennis, in connection with the administrative duties of the firm.

    Denise first acquired her estate administration skills during her twelve-year tenure with a Philadelphia law firm where she worked primarily with the trusts and estates department chair, in addition to her role as Legal Administrator. She has honed her estate skills working more than twenty years with Dennis. She guides our clients through the probate process, mindful of each client’s circumstances and supportive of their individual needs. Denise meets with our executors and those clients needing the administrative skills the firm has to offer in connection with the preparation of the Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax return, the Federal Estate Tax return, Fiduciary income tax returns, and on occasion, Individual Income Tax preparation for a decedent. She also drafts correspondence and documents for review by the firm’s attorneys and otherwise assists in all matters relative to the administration of a decedent estate from the Petition for Probate to the Family Settlement Agreement.

    She also utilizes her paralegal skills assisting the attorneys with the business practice at the firm. She maintains corporate records for several of our clients, updates valuation exhibits for buy-sell agreements, and LLC agreements. She also maintains the firm’s tickler system.

    Denise’s office management duties include responsibilities for payroll, accounts receivables, accounts payable and relations with the firm’s vendors and service providers, including the firm’s IT contractor.

    Denise is a graduate of St. Hubert’s Catholic High School for Girls, where she was ranked in the top 1% of her class.
